The True Falsettos
The True Falsettos are a swing duo featuring Joe Wilson (Steel Guitar, Guitar, Vocals) and Kevin Gills (Bass, Vocals). Embracing the hot jazz & swing styles of the 30's and 40's, Joe & Kevin play some of the liveliest, most danceable music around. In addition to original tunes, Joe & Kevin play the songs of the Nat King Cole trio, Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Fats Waller, Jimmie Lunceford, Louis Jordan, and more.
The True Falsettos began performing in the summer of 2010, but Joe & Kevin have a 6-year history of playing western swing & country music together with the bands "Rusty Blaides" & "Sister Wilene".
The True Falsettos' mission is to dig deeper into the music of the 30's & 40's, including hot jazz, western swing, and the popular music of the swing era.
Showcasing dazzling musicianship, while always remaining fun and danceable, the True Falsettos are equally at home playing concerts, festivals, bars and restaurants.
