Great News! darlene darlenYa has been back in the studio! You can imagine all the wonderful songs that have been brewing over the years since the Road Dog Divas and Sweetwater Women! In fact, it's darlenYa's 1st studio album in 13years! Holy Moly! With a Big Band World sound, it's going to be a whole new start for an artist who has already been around the world and down the dark dirty alleys of the music biz. After a 3-yr hiatus from it all, darlenYa is hatching out of her cocoon and getting ready to share this new sound along with a new name that represents more of a world sound. The new album has flavors of jazz, reggae, calypso, samba, waltzes and all the other good stuff that darlene has accumulated since her musical journey began. Flirting lately with Morocco will lend a hole other story in the years to come!

* Widely multi-talented, Darlene is adept at every known stage skill except, perhaps, ventriloquism. She is apt to play one tune on a child’s toy accordion and, on the next, accompany herself with a didgeridoo.

A seasoned performer with many miles traveled along her minstrel road, along the way Darlene has expanded her vocal range and skills to encompass just about any kind of keening or chanting or ululation one may be aware of, from operatic soprano to mariachi to Finnish yoiking to throat singing to yodeling or even barking like a dog.

Her keen guitar style keeps pace with her singing, providing skilled
accompaniment in numerous musical styles and rhythms.
Darlene’s songwriting is crisp, whimsical and adventurous in its scope and breadth, leading the listener on an exciting musical adventure.
